In Habitat for Humanity Argentina we seek to offer habitat solutions that are adapted to local needs and each family in particular.
Keeping our main goal of enabling families to gain access to a complete housing, we are beginning to implement new methodologies that envisage the possibility of achieving this final and sustainable goal in successive stages, respecting the social production of housing as a natural way for families to solve their housing problems.
The work methodologies currently implemented by HPHA, such as "Progressive improvement" and "Habitat tent", are enriched through this process, supporting and strengthening the actions of families which - as a group - give a neighborhood its identity and are integrated to a city.
Working to support social production of housing allows us to broaden our involvement and obtain synergies from existing knowledge, so that families work toward their own housing solution through self-construction and knowledge.
