HPHA offers opportunities so that families who live in houses in inadequate conditions (whether they are borrowed, shared, squatted, rented or under irreparable conditions), find a solution to their housing issue through a loan without interests, self-construction, mutual help and work together with volunteers.
Nowadays, projects of new houses are being carried out in Luján and Santa Fe, both for families who don't own a piece of land and those who already own one.
Houses built by families and volunteers are solid and economical. Generally houses have 1 or 2 rooms (bathroom, kitchen-dining room) and have 45 or 60 m2.
Different construction methodologies are used: from the traditional common brick to Retak concrete blocks (Luján) or cement panels which make construction faster and are more economical than houses of traditional construction. They are ideal for humid environments since it prevents the formation of moisture and mold (Santa Fe).
